It’s easy to take something as simple as reading glasses for granted. Glasses are a little thing that can make a big difference. Read one woman’s story of what glasses meant for her.

One day, a woman from another village came to one of our NOOR sites. This woman had been a widow since she was very young. Without any sons, she must provide for herself, and teaches local children, using the money she charges for lessons to survive.

She has presbyopia and was not able to read books to teach the children, so she needed a pair of reading glasses. We gave her a discount for the glasses she needed, and she was happy. Now she can teach the children and earn the money she needs to live!
