To See His Father: A NOOR Success Story

Meet Ihsanullah.

Ihsanullah’s father is completely blind due to congenital eye disease, and Ihsanullah himself had congenital cataracts in both eyes. Ihsanullah was only able to see light, and was only able to recognize his father from his voice.

Ihsanullah’s father and uncle brought him to Mazar NOOR Eye Hospital by his father and uncle. They came from Ghor province, which is a marginalized province. Ghor province is a long distance from Mazar and has few eye care services.

Previously, Ihsanullah only knew his father by his voice. After the surgery, however, he could see his father and was very happy. As the family was unable to afford a hotel in the city, we allowed Ihsanullah to stay some more days at the hospital and was discharged after another check-up, where everything looked good. He then went home to see his mother.
