Hoping for a Bright Future: A Mental Health Success Story

Meet Hasiba.

Hasiba is a 15-year-old girl who was married very young, who shared her story about her journey with mental health and finding hope.

“Unfortunately, my first baby died. After that, I felt very guilty and couldn’t forgive myself. My happiness changed to sorrow, and I felt as though I was always drowning in my thoughts. I became depressed.

I couldn’t do any work in the house and didn’t behave well with my relatives–I visited many doctors, but there were no changes until I told my father, who is a teacher.

My father told my husband that he had heard about mental health problems, and that mental illness is curable. He advised my husband to take me to the Mental Health Clinic.

The Next Step to Finding Hope

After that, I visited the clinic and was diagnosed with depression. After two years of treatment, I am very well and happy, and my family supports me. I am now pregnant and expecting my new baby. I feel I have a normal life now, and am hoping for a bright future.”
