Gulla Mez had been performing all of her responsibilities from memory for the last two years.
Although she was only 30 years old, Gulla Mez hadn’t been able to see anything for two years. She has four children and was not able to take care of them properly.
In May of 2017, Gulla Mez visited one of our NOOR Eye Hospitals.
After an eye checkup, the ophthalmologist diagnosed matured cataracts in both of her eyes and recommended small incision cataract surgery on both of her eyes.
Following the eye surgeries, she was able to see, take good care of her children and perform her duties better than before. She was very happy and said she can do all of her work on her own.
When we asked her why she didn’t visit earlier, she replied that her husband is addicted to hashish and doesn’t work. His cousin gave him money on loan to take his wife, Gulla Mez, for an eye checkup.
The NOOR Eye Hospital was able to give her a discount on the cost of the surgery. We told her husband that he should spend the rest of the money on his wife and children.
